Hi
I think the most likely cause of this is that you aren't loading
David Pilling's serial buffer module.
Check the modles you have loaded when Acornet has started and see if
it's there.
I remember having similar problems when I changed to a RPC - it was
very disappointing, but the seial buffer cured it.
